Finally, it is believed videogames are bad because they are used to recruit and train soldiers for combat units. Some games such as RPG’s (Role Playing Games) teach the player consequences for their actions. The player selects what dialogue to use when interacting with the in-game avatars. If the player choses to be mean or rude, it can affect the way that avatar will treat you, or even cause them to attack the player. This teaches youths that their words can affect the way people treat them. Also some said that videogames are bad because they reward the player for violence. However most of the time the rewards come from good causes for the violence such as saving a village or rescuing a kidnapped person from raiders. Finally, youths know the difference between fantasy and reality. It was stated that “By age seven, children can distinguish fantasy from reality, and can tell the difference between video game violence and real-world violence.Video game players understand they are playing a game. Kids see fantasy violence all the time, from Harry Potter and the Minions to Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry. Their ability to distinguish between fantasy and reality prevents them from emulating video game violence in real life.” Youths are smarter than many give them credit for, they know what is wrong and what is right video games are not going to change
