Recess is a time for kids to be kids. Students can play sports, catch up with friends they don't have classes with, or do some homework sitting outside. If the weather was rainy students would stay inside and do their normal schedule. This will help Lake Zurich Students! K-5 students get recess, but once students go into junior high, recess is eliminated from the day. The students at Middle School South in Lake Zurich Illinois would like recess in their school. Having recess would benefit learning, has a low cost, and a student given survey supports this idea. Most importantly, there are many learning benefits to having Recess in school

Recess would definitely benefit students' learning! According to Mercury News "Outdoor play is increasingly linked to stronger mental muscle." This evidence shows that outdoor play is linked to stronger brain muscle. "The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation concluded from the body of research on activity in various settings that opportunity for learning is higher during recess than at other times of the day..." This evidence shows that opportunity for learning is higher during recess than other times in the day. In addition, there is also a low cost
