Benefits of College Some students in college say they go to be able to make more money in the future. Many people attend community colleges to achieve an associate degree. It is true that individuals who achieve a two or four-year degree have better opportunities than one with a high school degree. Achieving an associate degree is a way to put he or she straight into the workforce with a better pay, when finishing the two-year degree program. As the years go by, technology is increasing and the people creating these new technologies may be in college. Things like online textbooks makes it easier for individual to keep up with and a lighter backpack. Many schools have online libraries, it makes it easier to do research, and it’s quicker than searching book shelves at the library. Some people take classes online, it makes it easier for them to get an education in the comfort of their own home. With the major he or she chooses they will learn new things about that particular major and things that relates to it. The knowledge one achieves from the studies of that major will help them be successful in the career choice relating to their major.
A third benefit of college includes adapting to new situations. Most students going to four year colleges are leaving home for the first time. There’s no one to take care them in college. It’s like a welcome into reality. Living without guardians in college teaches responsibility. Students grow from experiences in college. Having roommates in college may be a hassle but it won’t always be. Students learn to deal with situation and make them smaller. There will be times when individuals have to make smart decisions because consequences in college aren’t like high
