First of all there was Benazir Buttho, the first women prime minister of Pakistan. Because she was a woman, she had to flee Pakistan for fear of the Talibans. Indeed, they wanted to kill her because the thought she was a bad muslim (a woman in charge would certainly not serve their interests).
