Ben Jaeger

On June 24th, 2003 a legend was born, and raised in Dubuque Iowa. Well maybe he’s not a legend but his parents still loved him anyways. As a child Ben Jaeger was a goofball. I loved to act like I knew a bunch of jokes, but my jokes were horribly bad. One of my jokes would be ''knock, knock’ ‘I said. "Who’s there?" "Me, Me who?" "Just open the door as I pretended to kick it down." Yeah I was that type of kid but who cares, It’s just one more thing that makes me, me. Even though I have changed over the years doesn’t make me feel ashamed with my past in fact it makes me laugh at all the stupid things I have done. I can’t wait to watch my little kid videos.

As I grew up I was a very shy kid around others my age. In fact when was in kindergarten I had a whopping 1 friend. I don’t remember his full name but his first name was Jacob. Then in 1st grade my friend left which left me without any friends. Over the summer I wondered, would I find a new friend that had the same interests as me. That 2nd grade year I met many new friends that helped me through some of my life. And also my parents of course. My new friends taught me many things that I can use now and the future. Aidan, Adam, Zach and Jackson all were my friends and would help me figure out what I would

Right now the season is basketball so I have been practicing and playing basketball. On my spare time I go down stairs put my butt on the coach and watch any sport that is on except baseball. The only reason why is because it’s usually boring to watch. When I watch my sports I usually watch them on ESPN. Sometimes on weekends I will read a little bit of my favorite genres some off these genres include war books. Or if there is no games on or I don’t feel like reading I will hop on the tablet and play madden mobile. And when I get permission from my mom or dad I can hang out with

Existentialism: I was born on February 24, 1998. When I came into this life I already had four older brothers and a loving mother and father. Over the years I always had someone to look up to and admire as I continued to learn and grow. My brothers may not have always been the best examples in regards to the choices they made but they did their best to keep me on the right track for being the best person I could possibly be. Like Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, they taught me to have fun with life and enjoy the little things before it was too late.…

In the story Siddhartha by Herman Hesse Siddhartha chooses many times to pursue his own path, by rejecting the offer of learning under Buddha, while Giovinda jumped at the opportunity. He even abandons the pursuit of spiritual tranquility to live a life of material possessions and greed. This is the path he chose and our path is not like anyone else’s. Everyone has their own path to follow, some might intertwine for a time, but it is inevitable that everyone has to follow their own path alone. Friends are an example, most friends are not permanent, some may last longer than others but most end and everybody is left alone in the end.…

I think the song see you again by wiz khalifa represents my 8th grade pretty well because I dropped some of my friendships, took up a few new ones, and my family connection has strengthened. I made many new friends this year, or strengthened my friends I’ve had for years. Some examples of the people I’ve been friends with for a long time are alex colmenares, George kopendaka, and nick wilcowske. I haven’t done much with nick, but we are in a ski/snowboard club together, we both love being in the terrain park, grinding rails and flying off jumps. I’ve been friends with George and Alex for a long time, longer than I can remember.…

I have always been known as being that person who has always been intact and has never shown a single ounce of weakness, because people view me this way, they think I am unbreakable, and that nothing in the world can wound me. I have always been that person that people turn to when they are stuck in a bottomless pit and cannot find a way to get out, because of this, I have always had an interest in being there for those who need a shoulder to accompany them. Since I was very young, I always clung to the passion of being at the side of others who were struggling, and were in desperate need of help. I played with baby dolls until I was ten years old, I would bathe them, I would change them, I would feed them, I would take them out for walks, and I treated them as if the plastic baby actually contained a human heart.…

Releasing the Doubt Strolling through downtown Summit, New Jersey on a Sunday afternoon, passing by the town diner and train station, through the village green and promenade with my dad by my side, I had an epiphany. It finally hit me as bubbly residents greeted my father and I with numerous ‘thank yous’ for the party the night before. I felt like I was walking with a celebrity; everyone knew him. For the first time, I was not embarrassed that he was walking barefoot alongside our fellow citizens sporting designer name shoes.…

but I was still incredibly shy, solo and ground presentations or speeches at school gave me anxiety. I opted out of a lot of opportunities because of how shy I was and that was very hard to deal with now that I’m older and I now wish I could go back and attack those opportunities I missed out on. Present day I am still shy but not as bad as it was in middle school and before that, if anything I loved growing up shy even if I didn’t get to experience some things because I wouldn’t be who I am if I hadn’t grown up being so shy. It is a personality trait that I will cherish because even though it took some things away from me it gave me a lot more…
