Ben Dummer Short Biography

Mr. Dummer has been a consulting actuary for over 30 years and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and has been on the board of several insurance companies including Beneficial Life.

The first ever partnership of scouting with the Food Bank, a program which has spread across the country, was believed to be started by Mr. Dummer and the late Lowell Bennion. He has worked on various boards with the Boy Scouts of America and is heavily involved in the local community. Mr. Dummer has also served as Chairman, Sports and Fitness Exploring for the National Boy Scouts of America.
Also an avid lover of music, Mr. Dummer has been an amateur vocal performer, soloist, and member of musical groups throughout his life.

In his own private client practice, Mr. Driggs serves approximately 100 clients with over $22 million in assets. Ben’s 401(k) practice serves approximately thirty clients with over $71 million in retirement assets.

Ben graduated with his Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah as Salutatorian with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He then went on to The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, the oldest most distinguished graduate school of international relations in the country, where he earned his Master’s degree in international law with an emphasis in Asian diplomacy. Mr. Driggs has earned the CRPSR (Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist) designation from the College of Financial Planning, is one of the few advisors at UBS who have earned the Retirement Plan Consultant designation, and holds numerous state certifications in insurance and

In 2009, he moved to USB because of the better resources they offered for advisors who specialize in corporate retirement plans, as well as the fact that USB is the world’s largest private wealth management firm, therefore the resources for individual clients are outstanding.
Mr. Driggs interests include cooking, teaching, writing, and hosting friends for dinner. Together with his wife, Tiffany Smith, a constitutional law attorney at Kirton & McConkie, he has three teenage children: Abraham, Eliza, and Olivia.
