I think my companies should adopt the Ben & Jerry’s strategy. If more companies adopt their strategy it would help reduce pollution in world. The companies and employees would become more environmentally conscious. People would also know what is in the foods they purchase so they could decide whether to purchase it.

I had heard Ben & Jerry's mentioned before regarding their unique corporate values and efforts in the realm of social responsibility, but I was quite surprised to see the information on their website. One of the first things I notices as a whole in terms of the company and their social responsibility is that they are a certified B Corporation meaning they are recognized as a top corporation in taking social responsibility. A brief look at the company's Social & Environmental Assessment Report (SEAR) for 2013 shows some of their current social responsibility goals. First of all, the company recognizes and is taking steps to reduce their negative impact on the environment, specifically reducing their carbon footprint.
