Rather than the teacher grading our students, the students could grade themselves. Students could also write a reflection on their work. If students were to grade themselves and also write a reflection I think that they could see their progression, but also be able to pick up on things that they might need to work on. I know that when I take time to personally reflect on my own work I gain more insight as to just receiving a grade for my work. If I were to go a step further I think that an effective strategy would be to meet with students periodically and discus with them how they feel that they are doing and things that we could help them work on.
