I learned late in life the real process of what it takes to build a quality life and establish a firm foundation through Jesus Christ. The attacks of the enemy were severe in my family and in my childhood. As a result of misguided and deceptive information, I landed in places which took away from the original plan of God for my life. However, as I gained new ground through my rebirth, The Holy Spirit became powerful and formed a new soul and a new mind in my being. As a result, I began to understand my purpose, his plan, and the process I have to go through to achieve those goals. As a Christian is developed to serve in the world, one of the most important matters to address is to grow into a professional through demonstration of Christian Principles and not become shaped by acculturated treatments such as racism. As a School Counseling Professional working in the public and private school system, I have to demonstrate my ability to address social concerns about me, my conduct towards others, any actions that may positively or negatively impact the role I play in lives. I draw on what it means to keep within the profession of School Counseling Administration (Schellenberger, 2007). When I experienced personal issues during school that I felt was contrary to God’s will for my life, I was honest with my professor and shared my difficulty in completing assigned tasks for the course. I also was able to engage in discussion forums with fellow students on a regular basis. I live and work in that capacity no matter where I am in society, no context of negativity should shape my life. Within this context, I approach all that I do from the biblically based perspectives of a Born-again Child of God. As we become formed to live and serve in the world system, we have to demonstrate our ability to maintain the pillars of the faith of Christianity through personal, professional, and social responsibility (1 and 2 John).
