Awareness in resilience means to be aware of the situation one is currently in, one’s own reactions and the behavior of others. In Unbroken, written by Laura Hillenbrand, the main character, Louie, was faced with starvation and becoming mentally insane. Because of Louie’s awareness, he prolonged three lives (including his own), broke a record of being stranded at sea and created inspiration for people all over the United States. When one is stranded at sea, starvation is a huge dilemma they need to cope with throughout their time alone. When Louie, Phil, and Mac were faced with the same problem, two were optimistic; but only one solved the recurring issues.…
Having faith is something that many learn in the early stages of their lives. It is a trait that everyone should acquire as it helps shape one's personality and the way they act towards others. After reading Wiesel’s Night and Stienbeck’s Of Mice and Men and watching The Wave, the idea of obtaining the good of faith and about believing in your surrounding people is the most important message to be acquired because faith is an important quality that can teach people how to act better in general situations, and it can help people throughout their lives. In the pursuit of knowledge, it is the knower who seeks information. How a person sees and comprehends this knowledge is adjusted when by society, and potentially a location. Each “knower” is different; some people can have multiple perspectives or perhaps a person could have an open mind.
