The History of Bela Bartok

The composer that I will be writing about in the paper will be Bela Bartok. Bartok was born on March 25, 1881 and he died on September 26, 1945. He was a Hungarian composer and pianist. He along with another composer named Liszt are known as Hungary’s greatest composers. What I found really cool during my research was that he was musically talented at an early age. He was able to play 40 pieces on the piano at the age of 4. I don't know any 4 year old that can play 40 pieces on the piano, I can't even play 40 pieces on the piano. He was opposed to the Nazis and hungers siding with Germany. That made Bartok refuse to give concerts in Germany because the Nazis were in power. Bartok then emigrated to the United States with his wife Ditta and their son Peter. Bartok never felt and became fully at home while he was in the United States. He was well known in America as a pianist and a teacher but not as a composer. Not many Americans were interested in his music. While he was getting old, he was also getting sick and having some health issues. One of his symptoms was his right shoulder being stiff. He also had fevers and was diagnosed with leukemia. His body was slowly failing and Bartok was finding more creative ways and produced some masterpieces with the help of Joseph Sziegeti who was a violinist and Fritz Reiner. Bartok’s last work was the String Quartet 6 and Concerto for Orchestra. The Concerto for Orchestra was Bartok’s most popular work but he didn't live long enough to see it’s

With over 60 million people murdered, great cities reduced to rubble, and families ripped from one another, World War II will forever be regarded in history as one of the largest human rights’ abominations recorded in history. With the implementation of mythical nationalism and Volkish ideologies taught at German universities, Germany became the perfect opportunity for Hitler to rise into power and ultimately set his plan for world domination and Aryan supremacy into action. This paper will analyze history’s current arguments on how extreme nationalism contributed to the human rights’ catastrophes of World War II. Arguments that this paper will focus on include what factors were occurring in Germany that led to the German population to be able to support Hitler’s Nazi regime, as well as if Hitler’s “Final…

Infographic Analytical Response My topic is the power of art/music in The Cellist of Sarajevo, In the story music affects it quite a bit, it changes the stories atmosphere and the characters emotions. Music affects characters such as Arrow and the Civilians, it impacted arrow because every time the cellist played his cello, the music portrayed her life before the war, that caused her to become herself again. This is shown when after all the killing she has done, she refused to kill an innocent man and went against her commander's orders. At the end of the story Arrow accepted her death after disobeying her commander’s orders and she died happy because she died as Alisa not as Arrow.…

Today I will be talking about Johann Sebastian Bach and sharing the joys of his music. Bach was born in 1685 in Eisenach, in what appears to have been the Holy Roman Empire at the time, he also seems to have died in the Holy Roman Empire in 1750, Leipzig. At the time of his birth, many of his family members were musicians, including all of his uncles, this lead to any local musician being jokingly called a ‘Bach’ since the Bach family was so prominent at the time. Since his family was full of musicians, he was able to learn music from a young age, however he lost both of his parents at the age of 10. Bach was also married twice in his life.…
