Being Unwanted Research Paper

Improved Essays
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to feel unwanted? Welcome to my life. Feeling unwanted isn’t your boyfriend of two weeks breaking up with you or your friend not asking you to come eat after school with her and her brother. Unwanted isn’t your mom cancelling plans last minute because she had more work left at the office than she thought. Unwanted is how you feel when your parents chose substances, such as alcohol or drugs over you. Unwanted is how you feel when you finally down the bottle of pills you took off the kitchen shelf two nights ago, swallowing all 98 of them, while you’re lying in your bathroom floor with each breath getting slower. Unwanted is how you feel when your mom calls for the first time in three years to tell you happy

You may be thinking “Why do we have fire, tornado, and stranger drills? I think it’s just a big waste of time.” Well let me tell you something, drills are not a waste and can save a lot of lives. Failing grades are important; however, getting enough sleep is just as much of a necessity. Ripley stated ¨schools begin before 8 a.m.¨ and then they ¨spend long hours practicing (11). Ripley went on to say that schools start early “despite research showing that later start times improve student performance”(11). All this could be fixed very easily if we just exterminated sports programs. Students need more sleep to perform at their best in school.…

A recent discussion has came up about how some schools in the eastern part of America have made the rule that if a student isn’t maintaining a 2.00 GPA or higher, their licenses can be revoked. While this is difficult for some people around the country to come up with an agreement on, many people disagree with it. Taking away a student's car for getting bad grades is an unfair idea. Granted, taking away a student's car because they are getting bad grades might make the student try harder in school. Yes, if student notices themselves getting bad grades, it could possibly motivate them to work harder in school and show more effort.…

My first reason for choosing my stranger was that I see her more often than the others in class, so it would be easier. However, the more I started to learn her, the more I became genuinely intrigued about the type of person she is. My first observation is her clothing: simple and comfortable. She doesn’t seem to be the type of person who wants to draw attention to herself. One thing she does however, is express her being on the Anoka Dance Team.…

To clarify, I am sickened by the opinions of the journalist that wrote this/published. I have several valid reasons that I would like to share with you: the narrow mindedness of an educated writer; his stereotypical opinions; his sheer arrogance.…

These two theories are absolute opposites that must coexist in relative order. That being said, if humans somehow figured out a way to continuously exist for an infinitely infinite span of time and figure out a way to either create new universes or prolong the existence of this universe my hypothesis of absolute meaninglessness would fall apart. My hypothesis for dissimilarities in levels of worth in regard to separate individuals would remain relevant however as its existence is a literal example of the absence of absolutes, with the exemption of the absolute regarding the absence of absolutes, and is an extension of human behavioral patterns. If one were to somehow remove the human element from humans, then my hypothesis for the dissimilarities in levels of worth in regard to separate individuals would fall apart as well. For now though, these feats are considered by most to be unaccomplishable.…

I was at Eckert’s over the past weekend and my aunt, uncle, cousin, step dad, mom, and my two sisters, were all getting on the tractor to go on a ride and my other aunt was one person behind us. My step dad moved my youngest sister and put her on his lap so my aunt and other cousin could sit down. This other lady tried to sit down in that spot and my mom said that's for her, the other lady replied and said that she was there first. ( Keep in mind that there was a bunch of open seats in the middle row she could have sat in so my family could all sit together.) My mom ended up moving my other sister onto her lap so my aunt and cousin could sit down.…

Joel was a student at my school who appeared to lash out towards students many times during his experience at the school. He was the type of person who always appeared to be sad or angry. Usually every day at school he was upset. He also appeared to not talk to many people at the school and did not seem to enjoy being around others after he had been at the school for some time. When he first came to the school, he appeared nicer and more uplifted, but slowly his attitude changed.…
