Rape is a form of sexual assault. It is a crime to force a person to have sexual intercourse. Statistics have revealed that most of the cases have gone unreported. I think it’s because of the shame and guilt that the victims are feeling. Different societies have different cultural norms. Most of the societies do not act upon the rape cases that are unreported. In some cases, women are afraid to report owing to the shame that they would bring to their family, or they are weak and they can’t stand for it, or they are threatened to be quite. I think these mentioned reasons are part of culture. It’s negative, and it’s affecting us.
