Being On A Lake

Some people look at a lake and think of how many scary fish and lake weeds there are. When I look at a lake I think of how fun it would be to sink the tube or even stop at the deepest spot of the lake and jump off the boat. There are many activities that people do on the lake like swimming, stopping at the sandbar, tubing, skiing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding and many more. Being on the lake is not only just an entertaining thing to do on the weekends but it’s also a hobby that I really believe in.

When I’m on the lake I feel free, just by the way the breeze blows through my hair, it feels like I’m home. I love the way when I’m tubing water sprays me in the face and it feels so refreshing. When I’m tubing with my friends we find it so amusing to scream at the top of our lungs while we drift out of the wake. Being on the lake is relaxing and it feels like I can just be calm without worrying about anything. Boat rides are like therapy, they wash all worries away. If I’m having a bad day, going for a boat ride makes me feel like the weight on my shoulders is completely gone. There’s something about riding around on cool, refreshing water that makes me really happy.

The lake is the place to socialize, many people go to the sandbar to have a good time. We usually end up going home with a new phone number, new stories, new ideas or even new recipes. Sometimes there are even people that like to bring their grills and grill out for everyone at the sandbar. There is something about eating brats and burgers on a lake that makes them taste so much better.

There are many reasons why I believe in enjoying the beautiful lake. I enjoy the watersports, the boat rides, the sandbar and even swimming. The lake can completely turn someone's weekend around. A weekend on a lake is what I love to spend my weekends
