Being Nice to Certain People
One thing that I do not like doing, but I have to do it anyway is be nice to certain people. Being nice is hard to do if if a person was rude to me or someone that I care about. Also, it is hard to be nice to a person that you can’t trust. Lastly, it is not very to be nice to someone that is associated with a rude person.
When people are rude, I find it very difficult to be nice to them and treat them with the same respect that you would give to others. Sometimes, you just have to suck it up and act like you two get along, and that everything is okay. My friend and I tend to get pretty sassy with people if they have been rude to either of us. But, we still try to be nice, because we know that it is the right thing

In the book, Choosing Civility, the author P.M. Forni argues that “the byproduct of doing justice to other is the enrichment of our own lives,” which is exemplified in the rule “speaking kindly.” I agree with Forni, that speaking kindly to others will benefit our lives as we speak kindly more often than not. Most likely there are many people out in the world who believe they speak kindly to others, I am one of those people myself. Throughout researching and testing this rule I have come to find that to speak kindly is not just saying a few nice words, but it is also to not speak ill to others and to also to give praise where needed.…

My summative novel, A Complicated Kindness, by Miriam Toews was a little bit of an odd one. Throughout this dark, yet uplifting novel, we follow the life of the main character Naomi Nickel, who is shortly nick-named Nomi. Nomi is a sixteen year old girl living in strict mennonite town that she does not belong in. She tries to deal with a father who doesn’t necessarily care about her, a best friend who is stuck with an unknown illness in a hospital, and a completely useless boyfriend. But most importantly, she has to deal with the fact that her mom and sister fled town three years ago to seek a better life….…

Everyone should treat others respect. No matter how hard it is, you should still at least try because coming out of the situation, you know you did your personal best to be nice to the person. If you don’t make the right decision, you could have guilt hanging over your head for a while. You have to think about what you are going to do or say before you actually do it because the effect afterwards could be extremely bad. These are the ideas that came to my mind when I was reading “Grace is Good” by Stephanie.…

Show kindness and give without expecting in return. For those I found peace, hope, love, and joy. My worldview, is to be open to other people’s viewpoint and learn from it. By doing so, I will not find any conflicts received or felt by other people. I always tell people what kind of a person I am, so they know what to expect and I would also love for them to do the same.…

Just because you differ things from another does not mean they should be treated different than another. Rude Rude is a rather simple word to give a definition. With paraphrasing, the definition is “something done to offend or upset.” Despite this, applying the word is not quite as easy. The same thing can be either completely rude or completely justifiable depending on the circumstances of that action, and tiny, nearly insignificant facts can change the entire way the same action can be perceived.…

Self acceptance is the greatest gift we can give ourselves. We as people crave the approval of others, without realizing that we only need our own approval. We let people views on us shape what we think of ourselves. Each of us lives in a universe that revolves around yourself. When we are if anything, just a blip on the radar.…

Rudeness is taking over the nation Rudeness is on the high rise in the nation, everywhere I’ve looked I see rudeness on a daily and it’s really sad to see in a nation that should be so grateful for all the opportunities we have. People no longer smile in public towards one another, no longer thank each other, hold the doors for each other, and when in crowds don’t try to avoid bumping into each other. Others are no longer acknowledging people period. Rudeness is taking over our nation because people live by treat other how they treat another, not treat others how they wish to be treated. When walking in public people are to busy on their phones, either talking on them or pretending to do something important on them, because they don’t want to look at other people.…

It has probably happened to all of us at least once. This is a form of horrendous courtesy. Many of times, we all think to ourselves “who raised such a horrible human being” but in reality it means they just don’t want to form that relationship of courtesy from themselves to one another. Another example of discourteous behavior is when people interrupt you while you are talking.…
