Being Independent Research Paper

If I was granted the opportunity to write a book the theme would be independence. My book would be a young adult novel explaining the importance of putting yourself out there to gain new experiences. With this book I would hope that young people would read it and hope to have their own experiences to better themselves too. Being independent is a trait that many need to have in order to grow in this world. You have to be able to take tasks by the reins and do things without needing assistance from others. Being independent can mean taking on the dreaded grocery store on a Saturday morning by yourself, or driving for the first time after getting your license all alone. No matter what obstacles confront us we have to be able to think for ourselves

Independent thought is something cherished in this society. It allows us to have our own feelings, lives, and ways of getting through our problems. It also allows us to be unique because everyone has different independent thoughts. We are fortunate enough to have this, unlike many dystopian societies that seem to contradict our way of life. In the stories, The Lottery, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas, and Harrison Bergeron we are shown that independent thought is not something everyone holds.…

I believe that God has predestined our salvation, rather than us having the free will to chose when and how it happens. The Bible stated clearly that God has “predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,” (Ephesians 1:5). God must have predestined history at least to a precise point, in order for His prophecies to be fulfilled. He indicated many times that He had sent Jesus to earth for just that reason.…

Be generous with your time, your patience, your thoughts, your ears, and just with yourself. There's going to be a lot of things that you're going to have to give up, and a lot of things that you're going to give into.
