aHow does "being in the box" affect your internal and external motivation in the workplace and the motivation of others around you? 325 “Being in the box” affects internal and external motivations in the workplace when people are unaware of perceptions of human beings. In this type of scenario confusion occurs because there are times when I may need to be in the box and times when I do not. This affects the workplace through lack of motivation and confidence of those around me. For example, over the last two years, I have worked at an elementary school. Many of the teachers with a degree in education showed no respect towards myself because I am not a Texas certified teacher.
