We, as pupils of the Math, Science, and Arts Academy, deserve basic rights as we are transferring from young adults to adults soon. Being in a public school, a student should always be happy to be able to go to school, but yet they aren’t because of the amount of stress caused from the Department of Education and the state of Louisiana due to End of the Year Courses, Common Core, SMI,SRI, Benchmark and ACT. As young adults, having fun is the number one thing that makes life better, but with the constant homework and standardized test, students can never have fun and they get depressed. School should not be depressing, school should be fun, but in today’s world, school isn’t about learning anymore, it’s about passing which makes it even more
