Most people prefer the truth, but most people also do not like for people to ruin their day by telling them their honest opinion. A lie is only a lie if what they are telling you is false. Friedrich Nietzsche said in Morality as Anti-Nature “truth is confused with the effects of believing something to be true” (355). It can be argued that a lie is justified if the person telling the lie believes it to be the truth. Ericsson believes that lying is immoral, but everyone does it.…

you find telling the truth way more easier than it is to tell the lie or “sweet talk” your way out of it. Lies no matter how big or small are going to add up and get much more confusing in the end. When speaking out on the truth its half of most people’s instinct or in my cases it’s not, but after a while and you focus on not telling lies it becomes nearly too almost impossible to lie .Someone or something gives it away and they are left already knowing. Like for example if there was a surprise dinner for someone at work and the person you are throwing a surprise to ask what are you doing for the weekend you say I have this surprise dinner I have to go to and you were just being honest and everyone was trying to be secretive about. If you are an honest person most people will come to you about information or feedback.…

In the scenario from “The Daily Dilemma” by Charis Denison, the character Jennifer wants to go to a party, but she’s worried about the risks that come with lying to her parents about some of the details of the party. She believes that this party will help her feel more comfortable at her new school, but she knows that if she is caught lying to her parents she would no longer have their trust causing her to be in a dilemma. I believe the best response to this situation is to go to the party and to not discuss about the parents not being home during the party. Considering that Jennifer knows that her parents would not let her go to a party if the parents are not home, she should not tell her parents that the parents are going to be gone. This will allow Jennifer to go to the party which will help her go to the party and make new friends, however she runs the risk of getting caught lying to her parents.…
