As stated previously, many of the inmates are angry and take it out on those around them. Fights in these federal facilities are not a rare occurrence amongst inmates, and many other forms of trauma can transpire. The average teenager doesn’t have much threat of bodily harm on the everyday basis in a home environment nor is blackmailed. There’s typically no lingering threat of harm hanging over their heads. Also, living amongst a few hundred felons is less than ideal and is not even close to living with beloved members of their family who genuinely care about their well-being.
Lastly, most teens are only grounded for a few weeks and it seems as though most parents. A prison sentence can last from a few months to life in incarceration. Inmates are in these federal facilities because of their decision to commit crimes and many people can be affected. Teenagers are grounded because of sneaking out, being disrespectful, poor grades, etc. Inmates are sentenced to keep wrongdoings away from the general public, whereas teens are punished so that they can learn their lessons and to benefit them so that the can be successful
