Being Generous Research Paper

Decent Essays
From my mom and stepdad, I think I learned that one of the most important aspects of is to be generous. Be generous with your time, your patience, your thoughts, your ears, and just with yourself. There's going to be a lot of things that you're going to have to give up, and a lot of things that you're going to give into. That it's okay to not be okay with some sacrifices, but to know that if it's really important it shouldn't be an issue. From my mom I learned a lot that it's okay to learn to rely on someone. She would get up at 4am to go to work at a retail store, then in the afternoon she will run her personal hair salon, and aside from that she was also a leader at our local church.…

The issues with organizations being allowed to donate unlimited sums of money to candidate is that the organization is essentially buying the candidate. It is expensive to run a campaign; therefore, candidates may change their position in order to bring in funding. My extrinsic rewards are thank yous, praise/affirmation, and awards for accomplishments. These are important to me because they let me know that what I have done really matters or that I have made a difference. For example, when I was little I would draw pictures for my parents and they would tell me how “nice” the drawing is even though what I drew looks like scribble scrabble. My parents telling me how much they love what I drew means something to me. My intrinsic rewards are personal growth, achieving goals, and feeling accomplished.…
