Personal Narrative: My Experience In Special Education

Could you imagine being born and grew-up without having communication in your country? Well, back in my childhood life, I had created a massive of problems with my parents, teachers, and even friends which made me felt depressed. Could not understand why my parents and teachers were so outrageous that I can feel being discriminated, disrespected, and abused. Not learning to speak well and understand well until I became six. However, I spoke a couple of languages, Vietnamese and Chinese. I could not even receive any benefit throughout my education. So I really needed an extra support from my mom and dad in order for me to learn how to speak and understand. This takes up a couple of years for me to develop my learning. When I came to that class I wonder why there were lack of students. And those students that look way different from the students who normally were in my regular classes. They seem to be handicapped and have disabilities. Knew I considered to be one part of it due to my Language Learning disability. Then I found out it was totally embarrassing, so I tend not to say anything to my friend and attempting to more focused in that class. Part of my experience, the lessons went a lot different and easier. It is like starting from Kindergarten level to a higher level. So this had impacted my Language in a better way so far. This way I would not get any issue as an English learner because it starts out little by little until it will match with my grade level. Fortunately, becoming Special Education was not a bad thing because it has really influenced and benefit me from having English trouble. So far what I did in that class in order for me to succeed that I am required to read a lot, write a lot, and study one grammar each day. And it has really impacted my way of writing and speaking. Once I mastered my English skills, finally I get to switch out back to my regular
