I’ve listened to your words of unfulfillment and disappointment. I’ve watched you as you tried to drown yourself in order to escape the life you claim not to want. I was there for the times that you were hiding behind the glass hoping no one would notice you. But, that’s the thing, you aren’t afraid of this life or these people or these memories. You are afraid of your own being, your mind, your soul. You feel trapped within the complexity of your mind, and that reason alone is why you are unable to elicit any future change.
I get it. I know what it feels to be an outsider in a world of certain societal norms. A world filled with people who you are unable to connect with on a deeper psychological level. I resent the truth that I need them,
