I believe that being an administrator is a very dutiful job that should not be taken lightly. After being in the administration class, I can see the joy that some administrators take in their jobs. While it is not always sunshine and rainbows for administrators, they are able to create environments for children to learn through play and gain the best education possible. Since administrators do not always spend time with the children daily, it is important for them to have an excellent understanding of child development and current theories to provide equipment and environment that is beneficial and promotes learning through play.

Using assessment tools to effectively evaluate the strengths and weaknesses our program has is a huge advantage to running a quality early childcare program. With assessment tools like Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale, administrators can have a qualified evaluator come to the site or just do an honest score sheet to see what areas need improvement. It is important to know that it is these results could be subject to being biased and may not be accurate. But I believe that technology is the way of the future. Children now days having more exposure to technology that 10 years ago. As technology and research advances so should the opinion of the benefits and disadvantages of technology. Children that have limited exposure to technology daily, like educational videos, are more apt to learn. But it is important to keep the technology age appropriate and understand that the use of tools in early childhood is a great for students to experience the world in ways they may never have
