Being pushed positively is a very important role; it gives motivation to the child. I am 14 and still play all the sports I started when I was young. Shockingly, however, age 13, 70% of kids will drop out of sports every year. The top 2 reasons that they drop out are from sports injuries and their main supporters, mom and dad. Parents are almost always their to support their children. They drive 2 hour trips for a basketball tournament and will pay for the sports fees.
