Should this book be banned?

Many people may look on websites and see that some books are banned for many unnecessary reasons. Well, one book that is not banned for many unnecessary reasons is The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The Perks of Being a Wallflower has very many reasons for being a banned book. These reasons mostly include: strong use of language, sexual content, and drug use/many references throughout the book. By examining all of these reasons, it is clear that this book should be banned. There are many parts in The Perks of Being a Wallflower where strong language is used. Strong language is a big reason for books being banned. Two of the main static characters, Sam and Patrick, usually are the ones to use strong language throughout the book. They really became the influences on using strong language to Charlie. Charlie began using strong language after their influence on him. Many parts of The Perks of Being a Wallflower includes sexual content. Many parents and teachers find that having sexual content in a book, means that the book should automatically be banned. This book, however, contains many different types of sexual content. Whether it’s molestation, because of Charlie’s Aunt Helen, or sexual references. Having sexual content in a book, usually has a big effect on whether it should be banned,

Throughout the book, Charlie goes to a few parties with Patrick, and Sam. At one of these parties, some of the people there give Charlie brownies, with drugs in them. He and a few others were talking about how good the brownies were, and how good the drugs were. This probably made a few parents and teachers upset. This is another one of the main reasons why this book is banned, and should stay banned. Our parents/significant others try to teach us that drugs are bad. This book portrays how drugs are good for your mind, while they really are
