Being a Serial Killer is very hard work. There are many things you do to keep it going and things from your past that lead up to it. As we know there are a great number of types of criminals and it is always growing. With all the crimes happening today these types of criminals are quite different. Another surprising thing is that not only do men become serial killers but women do as well. Men do their killing differently from each other but compared to women they do it totally differently. Some serial killers have the personality of a psychopath which can be very difficult to wrap your head around. This personality trait I believe is more dangerous because they have no guilt, the choose their own morals, and they have a different personality overall. After he had confessed to more than 40 women he later confessed to having killed 60 women which led to unsolved murder cases. Obviously one of his morals was that what he killed was all his. He did not want anyone to have the bodies nor did he want the police to know about this woman that he felt were his prizes. Ridgway wants them for himself that is why he buried them instead of throwing them in the Green River like his first couple of victims.
To profile a psychopath is difficult due to them believing in their own morals(Inside). You would need to know what they are thinking and really get to know them but be such a serious case there is no time. One FBI Investigator almost ended his own life due to the Green River Killer. As you are trying to profile the crime it becomes very stressful because you are trying to walk in their shoes so you can figure out what they will do next and what they did already.
