After my grandfather had surgery, I helped my aunt, who is a nurse, with small therapy exercises. Even though he is my own relative, I liked that I was able to hold his arm and help him through his recovery. Having my aunt there allowed me to assist him better. Not only did it help him, but it also made me feel a little warmer inside knowing that I was able to do something. It is a win-win situation in my opinion. This is why I always try to join as many volunteer events that I can and why I joined the Red Cross, Environmental, and Do Something Clubs at my school. I enjoy working alone as well as with others and with people of all ages. Bringing various ideas together can inspire new ways of thinking, which can help when involving a person’s life. In addition, traveling to different cities and countries showed me different cultures, environments, and ways of living. I hope that after I become a Physician Assistant I will have the chance to travel and help those who need it the most.
