A physical therapist (PT) is someone who helps people rehabilitate after an injury or an accident. They are the ones that get you back on track to your normal life after you have broken a leg or an arm. Physical therapist also do other work than just massaging someone’s hand or leg. They have to go through a whole process of surveying a patients’ medical past and see if they are not allergic to any painkillers that they have to take in order to ease the pain. They work with a number of health-care experts like teachers, general doctors, and caretakers.

Becoming a physical therapist can be expensive especially in school. The website (2011) says “Finishing school with student loans is very likely, and a large portion of your physical therapist salary during the first few years of employment will go toward repaying the loans.” This article displays that many physical therapy students stay in debt and have to pay off their student loans once they graduate and get a job in their career. Sadly this is not the only disadvantage a physical therapist has. Another website (2014) states that “It is important to be realistic about an individual’s prognosis and be honest with them.” For example a high school cheerleader got recruited to a big university and tears a limb. His job is to get her back with her squad so she can practice her backflips her toe touches, and her stunts. No matter how hard he tries to fix her he just can’t. He now has to break it down to her and tell her the awful news. She might get upset, but again who wouldn’t? This effects both the girl and the physical therapist.
