When building a career in the medical field, never pick a profession just for the money. Unfortunately, numerous amounts of the Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), working in our nation’s Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities, are doing just that. If you are doing this profession just for the money not only are you suffering, nevertheless the residents are suffering in addition. As Certified Nursing Assistants, we do not have time to be negligent or lethargic due to the fact that we care for multiple residents all at once. The cause of taking a job in the medical field for the money is that it results in insufficient resident care due to meager attitude and work ethic. First, how is not caring affect the health of the resident? This determines how botched your work ethic becomes, resulting in a non-hygienic environment. If the techniques being performed are not sterile, the resident could suffer severely in several ways other than one, such as, catching a cold, getting an infection, or even dying. If you are arriving at work with a poor attitude, and do not change it, this can result in them also having a miserable attitude. Do not encourage the residents to be sour and rude by doing so yourself, then the entire work place could become miserable and careless. Not only does having a lousy demeanor affect everyone else, it also affects your way of life. When your actions affect the attitudes and welfare of others around, you should not indulge in feeble choices. Residents have an improved chance to be more caring and compassionate when you are the same towards them.
