Why I Want To Be A Mother

This I Believe.
As I held my newborn daughter in my arms and felt her little hand wrap around my finger, I thought, how precious she was, and for one brief moment I wished time would freeze. This also happened with my other two daughters. Now, one is playing princesses, and the other one is climbing up on chairs to reach for Mommy’s edible hidden treasures.
I believe being a mom is the hardest, yet most rewarding job I’ve ever had. I loved a video clip I watched on YouTube. They were interviewing for a job that was listed as, “Director of Operations”. These were the following requirements:
• You must be able to work standing up most of, if not all of the time.
• You must be constantly on your feet, constantly bending over, constantly exerting yourself.
• You must have a high level of stamina, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, with no breaks. You can have lunch, but only when the associate is done eating their lunch

They love to slide, and to swing, and to chase each other around. I love hearing their giggles as they chase each other. As it starts to rain, I say, “It’s time to go”, but not before we jump into the puddles that form on the ground.
At home it’s bath time, another fun event. Splishing and splashing happens and now I’m all wet. The doorbell rings so I go for the door. It’s my neighbor with goodies, and before I know it, two naked kiddos are standing behind me. I smile at my neighbor and say, “Thank you”. I hurry my streakers back to their bedroom to get dressed. We eat some lunch then get ready for quiet time, while I work on a few items from my to-do list.
The day’s about over, and I think about what’s been done. Not much, some would say, but I’d say they are wrong. I’ve made special memories and spent time with my girls. It’s worth the late nights of finishing to-do’s. They won’t be little for long and soon it will be me saying, “What do you want to do
