A close, central dining hall in comparison to the residence halls on a college campus is important. Long, time consuming walks are never looked forward to when the weather is harsh or there is homework to be done. Pollock Commons is the most conveniently placed dining hall on campus. Penn Staters from each of the residence halls have the ability to walk there without extensive effort. The building can also accommodate the vast influx of students during “rush hour”. There are spacious walkways, a simple layout, and plentiful seating areas. Also, the hard task of juggling a meal plan and a full course load is made easier with the student-friendly hours. Often times the need for food is experienced at inopportune moments. Personally, I have class from eight o’clock AM to six o 'clock PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are many eateries on this campus, but Pollock far exceeds each of them; its wide array of food, its accessibility, and its levels of comfort all contribute to this deserved title. The large selection alone is enough to offset any criticisms anyone has against the facility. Students have access to specialized food choices and a variety of dining concepts.
