There are many things that people believe Christians are, and it defers from denomination to denomination. Being a Christian does not mean that you are going to get everything right, it does not mean that you are never going to sin again, or even that you are holier than anyone. To be a Christian is not about rules and regulations (Like what is taught in the Old Testament) but it is about coming into a relationship with our Lord and Savior. It does not mean that you must go to church, pay tithes, read scripture, or really do anything in order to stay a Christian other than believe. All these things were rules and regulations that were supposed to observe since all of them affected their standing before God. That was in Old Testament times; but now we have Jesus, and the requirements of the Law are no longer necessary for us in order to please God.
So, being a Christian means that you have encountered the true and living God, and that you have undergone a change in your heart and soul. It means that you are not restricted to the Laws of right and wrong in order to please God because you cannot please God by what you do. God will only find pleasure in you through Jesus Christ.

What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. Sermon Focus After reading what Long said about a sermon I found that it requires many different techniques in composing a proper sermon. A refined sermon is one that is critiqued and refined to fit the demands of the congregation, yet without the teacher (Holy Spirit) it will be on none effect. Consequently, a sermon is to be rectified by the preacher as they flow through the Holy Spirit to conclude the discourse with the necessary components for the congregation. In fact, Long stated, “A focus statement is a concise description of the central, controlling and unifying theme of the sermon. In short, this is what the whole sermon will be “about.”…

Even our best works are like dung. “We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment.…
