Being a cheerleader for 3 years, definitely teachers you how to be a leader, but not in the normal sense. As a cheerleader you have to make sure everyone is in high spirits even if you aren't in them yourself. It's different being a leader in an academic sense versus being a leader in an emotional sense. All my life I've been the one people turned to to get their feelings of their chest, to feel happy again.
