I gained new knowledge on how much responsibility you have to take on when you decided to have a baby and how much you have to be invested in your occupation and child. Being a single mother, you would gain more responsibility then if you were married. Also, you would be in control for paying bills, supporting your child, and taking care of him/her. For this project, I decided not to work with a partner and work alone. I wanted to see if I could handle and mange being a single mother with a new baby and also having a full time job.
For my occupation, I was a Pre-School Special Education teacher. Becoming a Pre-school teacher is what I would like to major in college. I decided to pick a job that is realistic because I thought it would be interesting to see how much I would get for teaching. Being a special needs teacher, I would make $43,145 yearly and

My mom, friends, and co-worker Mrs. B helped out with my watching my child for free because they felt I shouldn’t have to pay for daycare if they are free and available to watch baby Gabriella. Daycare now a day is very expensive. When I am working at the preschool, three days of week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) my daughter would go to a day care. On Monday and Friday, she will go to my mother’s house or her aunt’s house. This will make the cost of daycare less expensive.
This baby project has had a huge impact on my daily life because of this baby. This shows that having a baby is a big priority and a serious responsibility. It’s not just something you could have one day and not the next. I learned a lot during this project, from how to save and spend money to how to swaddle a baby. As a single mother, I tried to the best I could do for my child. If I got a second chance to having a baby, I would make sure the father is around to emotionally and financially help support and love my

It was fun to get a glimpse of what motherhood is like, but at this point I am nowhere ready. Many people don’t think about the problems you will encounter when having a child, and I really think this project put those problems into perspective. The best part of this experience was getting a feel for what motherhood is like. Even though carrying a flour sack baby around for a week is nowhere near actual parenting for a lifetime, it gives you a good sense of what it's like.…

Most people change their career decisions multiple times before they actually pick a final job, but I never had an interest in anything other than being a teacher. I have always connected with younger kids over high school or middle school children, which is why I chose to major in Early Childhood Education.
