It's funny how you think of someone a certain way and then when you get to know them, they're nothing like that at all, whether they live up to your standards and everything you thought about them was right Or whether you're disappointed with the way they are. We as humans have this really nasty habit of judging people for their actions on a daily basis, not knowing the story behind why they might be doing it. We say things we don't mean, we assume things the wrong way and we act out when life doesn't go the way we expect it to even though sometimes it's for the best. Being 21, the biggest lesson I've learned is that I can't let my own problems and insecurities get in the way of other people's lives. There is no one to blame but myself for the mistakes I make and the way I feel. At the end of the day, my decisions are solely made by me even though they might be bad or effect others, I'll be held responsible for any consequences they bring. It just promotes hatred and the possible loss of a friendship or relationship that you don't want ending. Life isn't fair, and it never will be, people will always get hurt, there's always going to be someone skinnier or prettier or taller than you, there's going to be the girl who gets the guy and there's always going to be obstacles thrown in your way, but the important thing to remember is that sometimes there are bumps in the road, but they're just bumps, not mountains and at times bad things happen to people who don't deserve it.
