Beijing's Forbidden City is a complex of courtyard, halls, pavilions and gardens, which was home to 24 emperors from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was built in the 15th century. It houses a huge collection of historic relics including paintings, ancient pottery, and bronzes. The temple of heaven park is Beijing's largest imperial park and a wonderful place to spend time watching local fly kites, practice tai chi or sing songs. the park's main point is the hall of prayer of Good Harvest, a Ming-dynasty sacrifices alter that was used by the emperor once every year to ask the gods for good harvest.
