As several monsters are being presented in the movie "goosebumps";we are reminded of our own childhood and the frightening monsters in our nightmares. In today's society, no emphasis is given to those childhood monsters but rather are consumed by the latest horror trends in movies and current frightening world events such as terrorist attacks. Today, they don't need to, it is given to them constantly. All they have to do is to watch the news, hear it from their parents or classmates, or simply be online.
The monsters from our childhood are no longer important in the psyche of our children, other events replace them as what they are, frightening or horrific events. Before T.V or internet, children created their own monsters
