Behind Closed Doors Oklahoma Families First is a private health and abuse organization that has helped families across Oklahoma since 1995. I asked Gary what was one thing that he was super big on, he stated he was super big on following the books unlike other people. “I really enjoy using the book so that away I can find out exactly how to treat the patient and not on my own, y’know?” I like how he does that, it would make me feel more like I wouldn’t be wasting my time. I had brought my cousins with me and realized he is super good with kids, I’m sure that helps him with his job. He also enjoys his work environment, “I’m not a very colorful person if you can’t tell. I enjoy everything being normal like it is here.” Normal being the beige walls, darker carpet, and straw …show more content…

The Ecological Theory, according to Urie Bronfenbrenner states that the ecosystems theory is a theoretical standpoint that shows how people adapt to their environment and cope with problems (Morgaine, Capous- Desyllas, 2015). There are five systems within the Ecological Theory: The Micro-system, Mesosystem, Exosystem, Macrosystem, and a Chronosystem. As a social worker using the Eco systemically oriented practice, I would focus on changing Michael’s environmental stressors while also changing his systems (Miley, O’ Melia, & DuBois, 2017). I chose this theory because it addresses Michael’s personal issues and the environmental factors that affect…
