Transitioning between activities or settings are often difficult for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (American Psychiatric Association, 2000). This is due to the difficulties in processing changes in the routine and therefore resist transitions by exhibiting noncompliance and aggression. This paper recommends a behavioural intervention for a young boy with ASD that struggles to transition between settings. This intervention is based on a functional behavioural assessment (FBA) that consists of visual activity scheduling, differential reinforcement and token economy. In addition, it is recommended for teachers and whanau working closely with the student to attend Tips for Autism course. It is anticipated that the intervention will
