Health, the combination of a human’s corporeal, cognitive, and communal weal. A person’s health describes a lot about them, their physique strength, cognitive ability, and ability to adequately and productively interact with one’s surroundings and other humans. Wellness is the development of taking up an arrangement of behaviors, which can in turn, ameliorate the health of the individual. Presumably, adopting and setting up these arrangements of patterns to improves health can seem difficult to start or actually complete. Behavior change can become a much easier process by setting up a behavioral change process. An important first step in starting your behavioral change process is setting up a SMART goal to evaluate and identify the behavior that is wanted to be changed. The behavior could range from exercising more to drinking more water, my goal being the introduction of fruits and vegetables into my daily diet. Next, after …show more content…
My barriers are my normal eating style, which doesn’t include any set amount of food types or many fruits vegetables regularly. The conditions needed for my goal to succeed are to obtain fruits and vegetables to be able to eat and use. Similarly, implementing a reward system to help you succeed can prove a helpful system. I plan on eating a small Butterfinger candy on the Monday following a successful week as my reward plan. Next, identifying why the behavior change is important to you is also a valuable point to look at to help motivate yourself to be successful in the change. My behavior is important and important to change to me because I’ve felt like the eating habits and style I currently have does not affect me very positively and could have a much more positive effects on my day to day life around energy levels and how I feel.     After analyzing the data collected over the last two weeks it showed that the intervention being implemented was working. The intervention was effective in decreasing my behavior (consumption of high carbohydrate foods) by utilizing my healthier substitute of fruits, vegetables and salads.
