I plan to change my behavior by resolving to eat significantly less sugar than I currently do. On Lab 1.2, my nutrition score was two out of ten (2/10). I eat few fruits and vegetables, I never consider how many saturated or trans fats I consume and I eat copious amounts of sugar on a daily basis. The only reason I achieved a score of two is because I rarely skip meals, preferring to eat continuously. Despite these bad habits, I am not overweight.…

Introduction In The New York Times “School Lunch Without Shame,” the Editorial Board indicates that there’s an issue in schools with children being hungry, and humiliated due to the inability for their parents to pay their meal bills. Children are hungry and being shamed due to their families’ low-income status is the issue that we are being faced with in “School Lunch Without Shame” by The New York Time’s Editorial Board. Something had to be done to provide our low-income children with nutritional meals. The New York City’s public-school system decided it was time to make some changes by implementing a lunch program, “making free lunch available to all of its 1.1 million students regardless of their income level,” according to the New York Times Editorial Board.…

Around sixty-seven percent of the people across the country believe schools should offer only nutritious drinks, such as white milk, water, and natural fruit juice, to students. I strongly agree that adding nutritious beverages to school lunches is a logical and reasonable idea. To begin with, when products are locally sourced, the local economy around the school will also receive a boost. Also, when a parent of a school student sends their child, or children, to school, they should not have the need to worry about the things that their kid may drink.…

A large reason cooking can benefit your life is it is much less expensive. When you are spending $15 a meal by eating out everyday, it can quickly add up. Instead, you can cook your own meals and create a larger amount of food for less money. Because you have to buy your own ingredients, some argue this would be more expensive. This is incorrect because when you cook the dish tends to provide multiple servings which you can save and eat the next day as well.…
