I feel it is my duty to my patients to increase my knowledge. Another value of mine is eating a well-balanced nutritional diet and encouraging others to do so. I have a desire to understand why people choose unhealthy diets. I believe that a portion of the general public does not have the knowledge to establish the necessary habits to sustain healthy outcomes. I am completing a nutrition course that I began prior to enrolling in this BSN program.…

Behavioral Change Project #3 Throughout the month of September and October I focused my behavioral change project on stretching every day over these two months, though at first it was just to start out as stretching every other day, but of course it evolved into what it is today. My goal may have not been one-hundred percent successful, but it did open the door for me to start a healthy habit. So after choosing a goal, I began to do research on basic stretches and beginner yoga techniques to focus on.…

Sharon and I clearly had defined roles as facilitators, which we collaborated well between each other. There was a shared accountability when aiding in the group including mutual support of each other to help better meet the needs of the group, emotionally, educationally, and cognitively. With feedback from classmates and members of the group that was relayed back that the presentation was creative and well put together, it had a flow to the group. As facilitators we brought in our own life experience, and used informal educational tools and sharing to make the group feel inclusive.…

During the first few weeks of class I was unsure of what to do for my behavior change, there are so many things in my life that I could do without and that would help me live a happier healthier life such as eating fast food, drinking soda, Facebook and social media usage, as well as the habit of judgment. At first I thought the easiest thing that I could change would be to stop eating fast food. While fast food is a horrible habit that I have enquired due to my busy schedule, after the first week I really wanted to focus on something that would help me become a better person from the inside. A huge problem in my life as well as the lives of many others is the way that we judge people. Through recent experiences I have come to the conclusion…

The role of the student in the RTI change initiative was very limited. The pupils selected for intervention could not choose whether or not to take these classes. Though test scores were consulted, students, themselves, were not consulted during the planning or implementation of the initiative. Students were merely “potential beneficiaries of change” (Fullan, 2006, p. 170). As beneficiaries, these learners were only to be engaged as recipients of the remediation services being offered to them.…

Looking back on these goals, I wish that I would have chosen better dates for these to be completed by. My original long-term goal was to lose twenty pounds, which now seems almost impossible due to me not being able to lose ten pounds in a few months. I was also unable to meet my three short term goals.…
