In this case assessment I am only going to focus on the mother and the older two children. The reports range from violent physically and verbally to children, inadequate and unstable housing, inadequate food and clothing, neglect of children health, behavior and education, not keeping a steady job. The older two kids have been moved twice from group homes and are currently in a foster home with only the two of them. I would say that my client system is definitely family but individual as well. Micro, Mezzo and Macro: With this particular case when I think micro I want to work with the client on both a family and individual level which entails focusing on personal interaction with each family member. In Hoffman’s (2012) interviews with restavecs and parents of restavecs, she found that the majority of children were sent to a relative’s household following a divorce or the death of a parent. The placement of the child was primarily facilitated by a female relative (Hoffman 2012). As well, a family with the means to feed and shelter an additional person might request a child; there is the social expectation that to have means and not send for a relative is improper and selfish (G.
