Many people have vision, but limited vision. In (line 12) of “Before I got my eye put out,” it says “As much of noon as I could take.” Many people in the world have eyes that are sensitive to the Sun. It could be something hereditary or just a pet piv. Whatever the case may be, the author is trying to let the readers know that some people aren’t as fortunate as others when it comes to the use of your eyes. It’s almost like a car with no engine. It just wouldn’t work. In line 5 of “We grow accustomed to the Dark,” it says “A moment- we uncertain step.” Personally, I wouldn’t be to sure either if I had to step out in the darkness. The author is saying you would have to be cautious and brave to live in pure raves of midnight. However, it’s possible to overcome it. In line 13 it says “The Bravest – grope a little.” This means even the ones with good sight may stumble over a few obstacles, but eventually you will be accustomed to the dark.
