Before I Fall Personal Response

Imagine dying and reliving that day over and over again. That is what happens to Samantha in Before I Fall. She was a mean girl who followed behind her friends. Not caring how she made others feel as long as she stayed part of the popular crowd. Then one day her life changes. She dies and she sees the type of person she has been. But before her soul can leave, she must repeat that tragic day until she makes a difference. That is her last chance to be a good person and save someone else’s life.
Before I fall is such an amazing book. At first I thought the book would be about some spoiled princess who dies because she was too self-absorbed and didn’t care much about anything else in life. But when I cracked open the cover and read the first

I think everyone has a chance to grow and become a better person. The way Sam progressed into a girl who cared about others was a beautiful thing to read. Her death was a second chance for her and Juliet. In the end Sam is still dead but she died a brave girl whose insides finally match her outside beauty.
After reading the book I felt like anything is possible. I have personally been through years of bullying and some attempts at suicide and there was someone to help save me just in a way just like Sam. And I truly appreciate works of art like this that helps me remember how much as a person I’ve grown and developed. Even if Lauren Oliver does not know me and many of other readers but this book was wrote to help people like us overcome whether it be depression or being a bully.
This is one of those books you’ll always remember and think of when faced with objectives that are similar to that in life. I think that no matter what gender and age; we all will be able to relate to it in some way. This book is filled with lessons and hardships of everyday life. Every tear I shed either out of anger or sadness helped cleanse my soul. Before I Fall will forever be one of the best books I’ve ever read and if you’re ready to read a life altering book you would agree with me

This book has taught me so much about how true love never fails no matter what happens. The little things in life matter more than the big things. Also that you should never judge someone by their appearance because they are different inside the things you can’t see with a human naked eye, you have to get to know that person to find the truly special, ideal things inside with the loving warm caring hearts. “People die, but love doesn’t,” I learned that even if people pass away there is still that true love that never escapes the hearts of people that are still here on earth. Just like when Marguerite passed away Eddie still loved her with all his heart and the same goes for Marguerite that even when she was in heaven.…

What I found interesting and surprising about the book is the part when Katie and her grandma are going to the hairdressers because it is the Christmas dance at her school so she wanted a new look. What Katie noticed for a while by talking to the hairdresser Rhonda, is that Rhonda is Shane's mom! What I thought was good for others to read and learn from this book is when Shane got in trouble and confessed his bullying problem to the principal. after that time, Shane was a brand new person. so basically, people can change if they just ask for help.…

This is my review on the book Shattered Lives; This book was written by Camila Batmanghelidjh the founder of Kids Company; the registered charity was founded in 1996 with the aim to provide support to deprived inner city children. The author was born into wealthy family in Iran and arrived in England aged twelve where she attended private school. The book is sectioned into ten chapters, with an introduction and appendix at the end explaining who is who in the therapy world, and a guide to substance misuse. The book consists of several letters written to victims of abuse, which seem to be in the form of apologies to children who have been let down by the system.…

I agree with you on this topic of right vs. wrong in the case of Lauren Olamina. I feel the same she is so interesting in this way she knows right from wrong. Lauren has a big conscience I believe she is able to see that maybe that guy if he was able to roast his potato on their coal, they may have been taken advantage of later on. Then her helping people in need, this is her. I can see her personality in these situations, which also relate back to the environment she has grown up in.…

Romeo and Juliet Essay: Killed By Love By: Sidney K. Have you ever been in love? The tale, Romeo and Juliet, is a tragic love story that takes place in Verona Italy, in which the main protagonists attempts to be together are cruelly destroyed by numerous components. William Shakespeare embellishes four of these many components more than any of the others; Friar Laurence, society, the Lord and Lady of both Montague and Capulet, and the lovers themselves. These factors quickly try to destroy Romeo and Juliet’s love and lead to deep sorrow, for not only the lovers, but for their family and friends.…

I really had a deep connection with the characters and the themes of the book. I felt this book truly marked a change in my life, and showed me that there is always going to be conflict in life. Life is a constant battle for everyone, and I have the power to choose who wins that battle. Sometimes I might not always fit, or like where I am at, but the book showed me no matter how bad something can be there is always something better to strive for.…

In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet a thirteen year old girl, daughter of the Capulets, and Romeo’s wife killed herself because of the events happening around her. Juliet was a shy girl who didn’t think about marriage or love until she met Romeo which later led to her death. Juliet’s death was caused by things as big as adults not thinking or a prideful cousin to things such as not being able to read. What if Tybalt wasn’t so focused on his pride and the rival between the Capulets and the Montague? Romeo, Mercutio, and Benvolio decided to go a party, the Capulets party.…

While reading the book, I understood both sides of the characters Sam and Aaron, Sam as that person like most of us waiting for the right time and prolonging things to be done. And Aaron as the counselor helping Sam understands the game of life and its true meaning, but also I think it was Sam’s mind who made him appear. As a future counselor having a secure place to speak with the client, in an environment which is quiet and that person feels important because its there time. Regarding the book Aaron as the “counselor” took Sam for a walk and they stop at a restaurant, which was empty and would more confortable for them to talk.…

In the book “Stardust” by Neil Gaiman, it is about Tristan Thorn’s journey to find the star and to bring it back to his love, Victoria Forester. The main message that the author has brought to the readers is to jump out of our comfort zone because it can enhance readers’ experiences and knowledge. The author showed this theme through the glass snowdrop, a village shop called Monday and Brown’s stocking system, and Tristan’s character development. In my opinion, this theme is still relevant in today’s society.…
