In the song, “Before He Cheats” the writer Chris Tompkins, depicts the theme that unfaithfulness causes consequences.
It illustrates the theme because she thinks that he’s cheating on her with another girl. The girl is worried that her boyfriend is a cheater and that he is unfaithful and she thinks, “Right now, he’s probably slow dancing with a bleached - blond tramp” she’s afraid that he doesn’t love her because, “Right now, he’s probably buying her some fruity little drink, ‘Cause she can’t shoot whiskey.” Carrie Underwood, the girl that sings the song, is afraid that her boyfriend is cheating on her and that he doesn’t think that she’s pretty anymore. This depicts the theme because she thinks that he doesn’t want just one girl he wants to be a player and have more than one girlfriend and Carrie doesn’t want that. She knows that he’s cheating so in the end of the song she says, “Oh, maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats.” Their relationship is also falling apart because in the song it says, “Right now, he’s probably up behind her with a pool-stick, Showing her how to shoot a combo.” It shows the theme because the first quote is showing that their relationship isn’t very strong and that he’s not faithful to one girl and that he’s a cheater. She also took drastic measures to make sure that he doesn’t cheat again and that causes their relationship to fall apart more than it already is. The second quote depicts the theme that their relationship is falling apart because he’s showing another girl how to play pool and he’s also a player. That makes Carrie Underwood mad, so she takes even more drastic measures which causes their already failing relationship to collapse

In 1976, the Swedish group ABBA ravished the world with their hit song “Dancing Queen.” Even after 30 years since its exposition at King Carl Gustaf’s ball, the song remains a favorite in dance clubs. Mixed with pop-operatic harmonies and inspiration to the dance rhythm in George McCrae's "Rock Your Baby," as well as the drumming on Dr. John's 1972 album “Dr. John's Gumbo”, ABBA is able to convey an elated feeling of limitless joy and highlights the greatest music of the disco era. Through a beautifully woven blend of uplifting, empowering lyrics and a sophisticated melody scattered with heart-tugging high notes, “Dancing Queen” celebrates the carefree innocence of youth.…

This can relate to the theme Intolerance as well but in this case she knows that it is truly over. Base on the society she loves in they both could die from this outrageous act. The song i will be analyzing is “Como La Flor” and it is written by “Abraham Quintanilla, Pete Astudillo” and it is performed by “ Selena Quintanilla-Perez”. This song is a sort of a sad song because this song is mainly about a love life that was like a flower that dried up and died. So basically the love life selena had was not a good one. But in the lyrics she is saying that she is still hurt by this boy. Anyways this song has alot of different types of themes but the main theme i’m using is “ Even though your going through hard times you can still give love instead of negativity”.…

The tone of the song is very upbeat and therefore contradicts with the entire analysis of the lyrics. As an audience, it can be inferred that Swift uses this cheery tone to make it seem just like all of the other tunes in todays pop culture. As soon as the music video begins, the audience is introduced to the male that Swift is in relations with. He is seen getting out of a fancy and rare car; this makes him seem just as fancy and rare as his car. The next scene displays Taylor Swift in bed with her breakfast laying next to her and a cat draped on her hand.…

As he feels that the bond he shares with his friends is a treasure thanks to the emotional support these men provide for one another. And while it may seem that they are connected by gangster life, what connects them is their common desire for a better life. The final verse revolves around his relationship with a female friend. The Crow & The Butterfly A musician’s inspiration for a song can come from anywhere, even their own subconscious, and that proves true in the case of my favorite song “The Crow & The Butterfly” by Shinedown. The singer of the band and the writer of the song, Brent Smith, has said his inspiration came from a dream he had about a mother dealing with the death of a child. The song to me represents loss in any sense that is relevant to the listener. The emotion you feel while listening to the lyrics can speak to anyone in different aspects of their life.…

Have you ever heard a song that has impacted your life? Songs are a form of art that allows artists to express their feelings in a form of music. Songs can be interrupted in many ways; some songs have a more literal meaning, while other songs require you to interpret the lyrics to understand the deeper meaning. Artists often use figurative, metaphorical, and poetic elements in their songs to help develop the overall message. The use of figurative terms in a song leaves the interpretation of the song broad and allows the listener to have their own meaning of the song.…
