On Saturday, September 9th 2017, my hiking class met up at Mount Royal for the first hike of the semester. A description of my experience follows. To begin with, I came physically and mentally well prepared to the course. Hiking is familiar to me, as I frequently hike mountains with family and friends, so I know how to prepared myself in order to spend some quality time in nature.
