Been There And It's Self Destruction Research Paper

Been there, and it's self destruction. Most people just want you to be like them, they can't accept you and I mean the real you because your light is just too bright for them so they want you to be at their level of vibration, I learned this the hard way because I wanted to be friends with people who I though were good for me, but they're not, they always expect so much of you and it's never enough and the worst is when you see the good in them and want to help them to see it too because you think they can change but most of those people don't want to change they like where they are just send them love and let them go. Don't sacrifice yourself or your happiness for people who don't see your true beauty, I am telling you, by being yourself

“You need to lose yourself to find yourself” (Rubin). So what does this statement entail? As difficult as it is for me to admit, the awful, dreaded, painful experience of loss is necessary for the becoming of the self. Losses can be experienced through a variety of ways, such as, the death of a loved one, a breakup, a disastrous event, or through something as simple as losing an object. These losses are needed as it teaches you how to grow without the dependency of what is lost.…

When people think about American veterans, they envision a person with honor, courage, and a noble life filled with the prosperity that their hard work entails. While this may be what every American wants to assume about the lives of veterans, it is not nearly close to what is really going on with many veterans in the United States today. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects around 10-12 percent of veterans, and if left untreated or ignored, it can wreak havoc on a life (Veterans, 5). The negative effects of PTSD range anywhere from sleep loss, anxiety, and depression to alcohol addiction, drug addiction, and suicide (Veterans, 8). Some veterans with PTSD end up homeless with no treatment and no way to save themselves, and that is…

Before the start of this class, I knew three things about the criminal justice system that are fact: many people break the law, some get caught, and even less goes to jail. It is what I did not know that presented itself to me during this course. Yes, people commit crimes daily, but why do they when they know that they could get in trouble? A falling out. We all have experiences of losing someone we once cared about at some point in our lifetime. Despite the frequency of these situations, it still does not soften the blow when it comes to one's own life. Specifically, with a friendship that lasted over eight years, it is understandable that it would take an unrelenting force to break it apart and this force was ironically my own friends. As much as it pains me to say this, the depression and anxiety I faced within the span of my senior year from this adversity was undoubtedly worth the happiness and confidence I proudly hold now.…

My hypocrisy is saying one thing and then doing another thing. Know I try and not going as much as I probably unknowingly sis it when I was younger. Some of the reason that this may be is because I did not grow up in a Christian home, but my parents did go to church and my sister and I went to Sunday school. We also did go to a catholic school. There are going to be times when this is going to still happen because we are not perfect people.…
