The first practice that could be applied within the Bee the Swarm team is “Practice #6: Innovation Jams”. In short, Innovation Jams are a way for a certain company, team or organization to collect ideas and knowledge that reside within their stakeholders. An example of this would be if the professors within INOV 3010 would post all their content on to Blackboard prior to the fall semester and ask for feedback from the prospective students. This would encourage the students to care more once in class, as it was content they chose, and for the professors to deliver a more engaging and valued experience to the students. This practice is suggesting that within organizations, people should choose someone to ensure they are working toward achieving their goals and vice versa. The key for the practice is that the two individuals must have complete trust so that they may speak candidly among one another. This is a hard practice to apply within teams where there is a lack of trust or a person’s reputation proceeds them. Luckily, there is trust within the Bee the Swarm team and accountability partners could be applied within it. This accountability partner relationship would be something where the two individuals would setup a time each week, apart from class time, to meet and discuss their progress towards one another’s goals. This accountability partner practice can be seen practiced in many youth ministry organizations. Within youth ministry, often the spiritual leader of this group will encourage the students to develop bonds with one another so that they may seek guidance with a peer when facing obstacles or trying to reach objectives. This practice, though not always, is a great way for students to learn the value of interpersonal connections while persevering through tough times or when facing seemingly insurmountable odds. In the same way, the Bee the Swarm team will certainly face its share of obstacles throughout the semester. Though it will ultimately take one’s personal grit to overcome said obstacles, an accountability partner can help point out blind spots within one’s
